What Canopus IT Solutions does

In one paragraph

Canopus IT Solutions is a software engineering company that designs, builds and operates custom software, SaaS platforms, mobile apps and AI systems — then grows them with technical SEO and paid demand. One accountable team covers product design through cloud operations, and you own the code outright.

Why teams choose us

Direct access. Fast starts. You own everything.

Direct access to the people building your system, and a contract that leaves you holding all of it — the code, the infrastructure and the knowledge to run it without us.

You own everything

Full IP assignment on payment — repository, infrastructure and documentation. No retained rights, no licence fees, no proprietary framework holding you in place.

The team you meet is the team you get

The engineer who scopes your project builds it and stays through launch. No reassignment in month three, no names you have never spoken to.

Written, not implied

Response times and escalation paths are contractual. Support tiers are agreed before launch, not negotiated during an incident.

An engineer answers

Your first reply comes from someone who could build it, with a technical opinion attached — not a sales queue or a discovery-call gate.

The model

Build + Grow.
One team, one roadmap.

Most companies hire a development shop and a marketing agency, then spend their own time translating between them. We do both — so page speed, schema and conversion paths are decided while the product is being built, not retrofitted onto it six months later.

BUILD

Engineering

Custom software, SaaS, AI, mobile, integrations, cloud and enterprise systems.

GROW

Demand

Technical SEO, Google Ads and Meta advertising, LinkedIn B2B, conversion optimisation.

Either side works on its own — see how the Grow side works.

AI Engineering

We test whether AI is the right tool before we build it.

Every AI engagement opens with a two-week evaluation against your data rather than a demo against ours. You keep the test set and the measurements whichever way it goes — and often enough the honest answer is a database query and a lookup table, which we will say before you have spent a build budget finding out.

AI agents

Workflows that act rather than answer, and stop at the step you decide a person must approve. Every action is logged and reversible.

RAG & knowledge assistants

Search across your own material that returns the paragraph and the link, never a summary nobody can check. Each person sees only what their account already opens.

Copilots inside your product

Help on the screen somebody is already on, doing the job they opened it to do. No second window, no separate login, no context to re-explain.

Vision, voice & documents

The invoice, the delivery note, the recorded call: read once and written straight into the system that was waiting for it.

How we build AI systems

How we work

From first call to production support.

The same team carries a system through every stage. No handoff cliffs, no knowledge lost between vendors.

STAGE 01

Discover

Requirements, constraints, success metrics and a costed delivery plan.

STAGE 02

Design

User flows, data model and architecture that de-risk the expensive part.

STAGE 03

Build

Two-week sprints, a demo every cycle, QA built in from day one.

STAGE 04

Scale

Load testing, observability, cost tuning and a documented handover.

STAGE 05

Operate

Monitoring, security patching and continuous feature delivery.

Domains

We already speak your language.

The capabilities above, applied where we already know the workflows, the standards and the ways they fail. You will not spend the first month explaining your own operation to us.

Healthcare & Medical

HL7 and FHIR against the EMR a trust already runs, with an audit trail on every read.

  • Multi-site clinic and hospital platforms
  • Patient portals and appointment engines
  • HL7 / FHIR interoperability with existing EMRs
  • HIPAA-aware delivery and audit trails
Healthcare software

Logistics & Supply Chain

Carrier webhooks that arrive twice and must only count once, reconciled nightly.

  • Warehouse and shipment tracking platforms
  • Dispatch consoles and 3PL workflows
  • Order orchestration across carriers
  • EDI, carrier APIs and rate integration
Logistics software

Transport & Fleet

Telematics that replays what the tunnel swallowed, de-duplicated by device and timestamp.

  • Transport management systems (TMS)
  • Driver apps and vehicle tracking
  • Route optimisation and dispatch planning
  • Telematics ingestion with offline tolerance

All industries we build for

How an engagement runs

Real-time shipment tracking across three GCC countries.

A 3PL operator running dispatch on spreadsheets and phone calls, with no live visibility and no path to scale beyond one country. We built the driver app, dispatch console and customer portal — then stayed on to operate it. One of them ran three weeks late, and the write-up says why.

Working together

Built to pass procurement.

The questions your legal and security teams will ask, answered before they have to ask them.

Engagement models

  • Fixed scope — defined deliverables, milestone billing
  • Time & materials — monthly against actual effort
  • Dedicated team — a named squad on your roadmap
  • White-label partnership for agencies

Compare all four models

Security & governance

  • GDPR-aligned handling and data processing agreements
  • NDA, MSA and SOW as standard
  • Role-based access, secrets management and audit logging
  • Dependency scanning and code review on every change

How we handle security

Support & continuity

What happens after launch is written into the contract, not left to goodwill.

  • Defined response times — severity-tiered, with escalation paths
  • Application maintenance and AMC retainers
  • Documented handover — architecture, runbooks, credentials
  • Knowledge transfer for your own engineers

What we don't take on

We don't take website projects under $3,000 — below that, a good template and a freelancer will serve you better than we will, and we'd rather say so than take the money. We don't do guaranteed rankings, and we won't quote a build price before we understand the problem.

We also decline work we can't staff properly. If we cannot put the right engineers on your project inside the window we promised, we say so instead of starting with whoever happens to be free.

Questions

What clients ask first.

How much does a software project cost?

Cost tracks three things: how much of the system is genuinely new, how many outside systems it has to talk to — ERP, payment gateways, an EMR, carrier APIs — and how long you want us operating it after launch. Scoped work on a system you already run, one integration or one migration, sits well below a new build. You get a fixed written estimate after a discovery call and a requirements summary you keep, never a number before we understand the problem and never a figure that quietly moves once work begins. We don't take website projects under $3,000.

Who owns the code and intellectual property?

You do, entirely. IP assignment is written into every contract and transfers on payment — repository, infrastructure access, credentials and documentation at handover. We keep no licence, no reusable-component clause and no proprietary framework you would have to pay to keep using.

How quickly can we start, and how long does a build take?

Typically 14 days from signed agreement; three to four weeks if the engagement needs a dedicated squad assembled. A production MVP usually runs 8–12 weeks, longer where ERP or hospital-system integration is in scope.

Which time zones do you work across?

Full working-day overlap with the United Kingdom, Europe, the GCC, India, Singapore and Australia. For North America we run a dedicated evening shift with four hours of daily overlap with US Eastern, written into the engagement rather than promised on a call.

Do we have to buy Build and Grow together?

No. Start with either side. Most clients begin with engineering and add growth once there is something worth sending traffic to. When you do add it, nothing is lost in translation — it is the same team on the same roadmap.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes, and it is a common way we start. We audit first and present a written takeover plan — risks, quick wins and what we would leave alone — before touching anything in production. No surprise rewrite proposal, and no criticism of the previous team as a sales tactic.

What happens after launch?

Support tiers are agreed before launch, not negotiated during an incident. Response times, escalation paths and uptime targets are contractual, and maintenance runs as a monthly retainer with a published change log. You also receive a documented handover so your own engineers can run the system without us.

What happens if the project goes wrong?

You find out early. We demo every two weeks, so slippage surfaces in a fortnight rather than at a deadline. If scope proves wrong, we re-plan with you and show the cost impact before continuing — and you keep everything built to that point regardless of how the engagement ends.
